catch of the day…

October 2, 2007

Yesterday was spent meandering around the Sapelo River, with Mom, Granny S., Uncle Captain George, and Sharon.  Due to a Northeaster, we were unable to cross the sound to my beloved Blackbeard and St. Catherine’s Islands, but we did manage to bring home one rather large catch…surfing the chop down the river, a floating dock.  The great winds must have blown it loose, and we managed to haul it in with us.  It is of great quality and decent size, and the perfect extender to our own floating dock.  Just so happened the little birdie (affectionately named Chip) found our find of great interest, and rode along with us for about 30 minutes…see below….
