a return to Pirates

August 25, 2008

Nick and I have spent the past 5 weeks traveling, and while I’ve enjoyed every stop along the way…it feels great to get back to some form of normalcy.  Finally some groceries in the house, time to bathe the dog and clean the studio, and a full day of painting.

There is something so rhythmic about layering paint, it was quite relaxing after all the hustle and bustle.

    That’s amazing! I wish I could paint 😥

It’s so neat to see it all coming together. I feel like I’m part of a secret project!

Can’t wait to see it all do’d up!

It is looking good! Has Nick seen himself as a pirate yet?

  3. Thanks Robin! I’m glad you appreciate the “behind the scenes” perspective…these projects can really consume your life!

Thanks Bekah…and yes, he’s pretty proud…lol! although we both agree it looks more like his youngest brother…

Hi Heather, Looks great, MR. Pirate looks like both boys with a little attitude showing A Dolinar boy from the NORTH, a part of Southern history forever! AARGH!
Can’t wait to see more, behind the scene action!

  5. Thanks Peggy! I had hoped you would approve 🙂 I painted the parrot on his shoulder today…
