*New* Savannah Hand Watercolored Prints & Mini Prints are Finally Here!
February 26, 2010
My original Savannah sketches have been given a little *punch* of color! (Sorry for the delay, but things had to be “just so” you know) Each 8×10 print has been delicately hand watercolored by yours truly, making each one unique. Of course, if you haven’t the space for an 8×10 and you must have a little something “Savannah,” then the Mini-Prints are for you! They come matted ready to fit a 5×7 inch frame…(perfect for the tabletop frame) or a collection of little Savannah memories…take your pick! You can find these little gems locally at ShopSCAD or purchase them online via TheInkLab. Enjoy!
P.S…if you wish to subscribe to this bloggity blog, there’s a new email subscription thingy in the right hand column. How about that! FLYoung Studio right in your inbox! have a lovely weekend peeps!

The very talented Victoria Bennett Beyer happened to catch one of my pups on the Etsy Home Page! Thanks for saving this image for me Vicki…Oh and in celebration of her own Etsy Anniversary, she’s giving away a wonderful print on her blog. Check it out!
Diva-dog-attitude…

We have a real problem on our hands with Miss Vayda. It all started a few months ago, when she decided that she would no longer eat or drink from her stainless steel bowls. I guess after five years of the same dishes, she wanted a change of pace.
Since she never seems to have a problem cleaning our dinner plates, we presented her with a much more civilized ceramic plate and bowl. The newness wore off, and in about 2 days, she was starving herself again.
Nick’s brilliant idea was to buy the cheapest plastic bowls he could find…in a terrible, shiny-blue-ick color no less (I later found out he had the option to buy red) but by then the dog was eating from them…so how could I take them away?
These ugly bowls satisfied her for about a month. Until last week when she decided that her outdoor water bowl had the tastiest water. She begged and begged for us to let her outside. We begged and begged for her to drink indoors. The dog won.
Now I have one more piece of Bears memorabilia INSIDE my house. She is without question, a Daddy’s girl.
Studio Overhaul…
February 22, 2010
After living here for the last 8 months or so, It’s about time I got this studio in working order…Bulletin boards and calendars are pretty well useless if not hanging on the walls. So this weekend, I painted the studio a fresh February Frost color. Something punchy to get me motivated. Here’s a sneak peek…I still have a long way to go, but I think my Blushing Mona will fit right in.
If you want to see a super cute picture of Vayda trying to steal my curtains, become a fan on Facebook…
Oh and don’t forget! Today is the LAST DAY for 1/2 Price Kitty Portraits!
Wishing you all a lovely Monday ~ xo
Secret Valentine #2

It’s always fun to paint something that you would fancy in your own home. It’s even more fun to paint it, knowing that it’s a special Valentine’s Day surprise. And, as if it could possibly get any better, I got to paint it for the oh so talented Jade McCully. Trust me, her photos will be much better than my sneak peek below…but you get the idea…

It’s here! It’s here!

Quicker than I thought even…Did you see it? We hope you’ll enjoy the layout…I’m most excited that you can now view the murals full screen (it did them no justice to have them at 400 px wide, when some are 24 feet in real life)…Oh and speaking of which, we finally added my Anne Bonny Mural to the site. Now that it’s all rolled out, I owe Nick about 1000 sketches, so it’s time to get back to work…but in case you’ve forgotten the old layout…here are some before and after shots..
Before on the left…after on the right…
Patience is key…
February 10, 2010
Did I mention I’ve been waiting?…waiting for my newly designed, expertly re-organized, new website to début! It’s been such a process to rework it all…(and I really shouldn’t complain, because Nick’s done all the real work)…but I’m losing patience, and right now, that is key…see, I like things polished…but that takes some time to make sure all the last little details are in place…so excuse me if you will from this little blog for the next day or two…I ask that you, too, be patient…and know that when the new site debuts, there will be some pretty sweet deals to go along with it…I can barely contain my excitement!!! Oh and have a lovely Wednesday.
