We have a real problem on our hands with Miss Vayda.  It all started a few months ago, when she decided that she would no longer eat or drink from her stainless steel bowls.  I guess after five years of the same dishes, she wanted a change of pace.

Since she never seems to have a problem cleaning our dinner plates, we presented her with a much more civilized ceramic plate and bowl.  The newness wore off, and  in about 2 days, she was starving herself again.

Nick’s brilliant idea was to buy the cheapest plastic bowls he could find…in a terrible, shiny-blue-ick color no less (I later found out he had the option to buy red) but by then the dog was eating from them…so how could I take them away?

These ugly bowls satisfied her  for about a month. Until last week when she decided that her outdoor water bowl had the tastiest water.  She begged and begged for us to let her outside.  We begged and begged for her to drink indoors.  The dog won.

Now I have one more piece of Bears memorabilia INSIDE my house.  She is without question, a Daddy’s girl.

Bella switches up the kind of food she prefers. Its a real pain in the butt. Its not that she won’t eat out of the bowl, its that she suddenly grows a dislike for whatever 40lb / $40 bag of food I just bought, and sometimes lets her food sit there all day. Her dad, being the MAN that he is, says “leave it, when she gets hungry enough, she’ll eat it”. Men are the same creatures that think dogs will be warm enough in 30 degree weather because they have “fur coats”

LOVE your lamp! Where did you get it?

    • Oh yeah, we’ve had that battle with her before too…thankfully, she’s been content with the Iams for a few years now…but she will down right starve herself of food and water if she doesn’t like the container…the idea that they’ll just eat when they’re really hungry, is a crock! oh and the lamp is from rooms to go…lol!

hi aunt jess. my dogs won’t eat their food either. throw in an egg and cook it. that’s what i have to do. lol

  3. What a picky dog you have! I’ve never heard of the container being a point of contention before. Dogs are the best, but they can sure be a pain when they want to be 🙂

Well, that’s a great pic of Savannah’s most spoiled and pampered Diva!
