In 1904 the Jekyll Island Club was referred to as “the richest, the most exclusive, the most inaccessible club in the world,” according to Munsey’s Magazine.  The Club still lives up to it’s grand title, this sketch a mere detail of the sprawling building and lush grounds.  Click Here to read some of the fascinating history behind the Jekyll Island Club.

I’ve worked up more paper goods for family and friends this year than ever before.  It’s an honor to me to be trusted with their special announcements, and I do enjoy the extra bit of creative freedom that I can pour into family jobs.  Here’s a round-up of some the goodies I’ve neglected to share…

Fleur di lis Wedding Programs

Bi-fold wedding programs for my darling cousin Rachel.  The custom emblem mirrors the bead-work on her wedding dress.

I played up the Fleur De Lis, a little nod to her home state of Louisiana.

Magnolia Tree Engagement Party Invitations

Sweet cousin Rebecca was the first to use my Magnolia Tree on her paper goods. Engagement party invitations are just the beginning, you can bet I will have my hands in all sorts of details for her upcoming wedding!

Black Damask and Purple Ribbon Bridal Shower Invitations

Ribbon embellished bridal shower invitations for my soon to be cousin-in-law.  Eggplant has been a HOT color this year!

2012 Graduation Invitations Modern

Last but not least, modern, geometric graduation invitations for Rebecca (yep, it’s a big year for her!)  I wish my graduation invitations hadn’t been so stuffy!  So glad to see graduation invitations getting a bit of modern flair.

I knew 2012 would be a busy year!

I am so excited to now offer brown kraft paper envelopes for you rustic, nature lovin’ brides!  Being that I’m the daughter of a “paper man,” I’ve always appreciated the simplicity of brown kraft paper.  We used it to wrap Christmas presents and school books in it as kids, and we didn’t dare come home from the grocery store with plastic bags at our house.  (Cardinal sin to a paper bag salesman, and to the environment!)

Rustic Magnolia Tree Wedding Invitation Suite with Brown Kraft Paper Envelopes

Brown bag kraft envelopes are available for the newly listed Magnolia Tree Wedding Invitations & the classic Live Oak Tree Invitations

Of course, I also offer White and Ecru Colored envelopes and the ink colors / wording are completely customizable, so if you’re looking for a more modern feel vs. the rustic woodsy trend, just ask and I’ll gladly dress them up for you!

I’m just getting started with “krafty” goodness, so be sure to check back!

I can’t tell you how much I love Emmaline Bride.  They are overflowing with inspiration for the DIY and handmade bride and they have a knack for uncovering hidden gems on Etsy.  So you can imagine my excitement when I found out my Thumbprint Tree Guestbook was featured as the Daily Find on Friday the 13th.

Thank you Emmaline Bride & thank you Diana Daley for the stunning photographs of my guestbook!

Finally took our new mountain bikes out for a spin at Skidaway Island State Park today.  It’s an easy ride for a beginner, a 3 mile loop with an observation tower overlooking the marsh.  Lots of beautiful old trees, marsh views, and even alligator ponds!

We only took a few photos, as we were having too much fun testing out the new bikes, but I’m sure we’ll be back.

Hope you all enjoyed a lovely weekend!

Gardenia

I love Gardenias (though I have no interest in pinning one to the side of my head) I enjoy their sweet aroma.  Just after sunset I happened to capture this near perfect bloom in our backyard.  By morning, the heat had zapped it…grateful to have seen it in its moment of glory.

Happy Friday y’all!

I’m listing new wedding paper goods like mad in theinklab!
