Ok…so we’ve been talking about adding pet portraits to etsy…some how some way.  I already have three etsy stores, so the question is…do I add the pet portraits to the heatherlyoung.etsy.com shop?  I originally intended for that shop to be a “hodge-podge” shop for my items that don’t fall into any one particular catagory… Or do they deserve a shop unto themselves?  I’m not sure…so please vote and help me decide.  Many thanks!  I truly appreciate the following this blog has collected…I’ll look forward to your expertise!

works in progress…

I’ve been locked in my studio for the past several days…2 paintings, 3 pen & inks, and a zillion postcard promotional mailers to get in and out the door…needless to say, my eggs are in a few too many baskets…but special thanks to Nick for making me a new playlist for my ipod…(I still don’t know how to use that thing…but thankfully he knows my taste in music)  here’s the update on Tori’s portrait…I’m waiting for it to “speak” to me…until then, I’m not touching it for fear I might ruin it…thoughts?

tis the season

December 3, 2007

although it doesn’t feel like Christmas is just…(dare I say…) 22 days away, I’m starting to have some fun with the season.  I’ve been trapped in my studio working on commission after commission, and then I thought…hmmm…that portrait of Vayda would look awfully cute with reindeer antlers…so I deterred for a bit last night…(see work in progress below)…I’m thinking it will make for a fun Christmas card.
