This photo really does him no justice.  I was in such a hurry to get him shipped off to Chicagoland, that I forgot to scan the little man.  Want one?  Get yours for my “friends and family” rate…see here.

but the rains have come.  again.

P.S. I’ve got my $200 ink sale going on!  It won’t last long…so commission yours today!

I’m painting a lot of these lately.  Unlike most, this one does not have a patterned paper / fabric background.  Just my signature Acrylic & Oil Wash.

it occurs to me…

January 16, 2009

that on this early Friday morning, we are nearing (among other events) Valentine’s Day! Before my schedule heats up, be sure to get your custom pen & ink drawings commissioned.  I mean what could be sweeter than an elegant sketch of your love nest?  Or surprise your sweetie with a sketch of their childhood home!  All I need are the best photos you can find…(if you’re local to Savannah, I’ll gladly take them for you)  Oh and if you get your order in quick, there will still be time for my friends at Turtle Creek to print your custom drawing onto beautiful Crane Stationery! Skip on over to The Ink Lab for more information.

Oh and speaking of Turtle Creek…I’ve got their very own custom ink in the works…here’s the rough pencil sketch…

Final pen & ink to follow shortly!

Wishing you all a super-fab Friday!

a home abroad…

December 30, 2008

My first pen & ink outside of the US! Located in Ontario, Canada, this house was the former home of a friend of mine.  Her daughter grew up in this house, and they had to sell it a few years back.  She commissioned this ink so that her daughter will forever have the memory of time spent there.  Isn’t that sweet?  Thankfully she had some stellar photographs for me to work from.

P.S. now that the Christmas rush is over, I’m free to take on pen & ink commissions!

a big thank you!

December 17, 2008

As I wrap up the last of my Christmas commissions, and prepare for a great break from work, I’d just like to take a moment to thank all of you who have helped support my work this holiday season.  It’s been so much fun to create for you, new clients and old friends.

Oh there’s nothing I love more than tacking a pretty pinwheel bow on a fresh work of art!

Can you feel it?

Christmas that is!  Here’s one the inks from last year…revamped for their 2008 Christmas card.  Don’t forget to commission your custom pen & ink drawing now before the list gets too long and my fingers have arthritis!  Best part?  They’re on sale for $200, but that won’t last long!

Still working on Vayda’s card for 08…I’ve become totally OCD about color comps…and just can’t seem to make up my mind.  I’ll probably paint enough to have Christmas cards for the next 10 years!
