remember that ink and bleach pattern ?  It’s been haunting my soul…

ink and bleach on acrylic backgound painting

No bleach here…just acrylic, watercolor, and some manipulation in Photoshop.

I’m really excited to bring these to life.  A variation of this print, I love that they are going for a tea length invitation.  I’m also super stoked to be doing custom wedding invites for not one but two brides right now!  Gives me a chance to relive all the fun I had planning and designing our own special day…(without a fraction of the stress!)    I can print with archival inks on a variety of luxurious papers, and I thrive on custom work…So keep em’ coming people!

That’s right…the Rockstar Red series is all gone!  Things seem to be picking up this first week in Spring…so if you’ve been eyeing the Foodie Prints, better pay a visit to The Produce Stand quick!

Not much else going on around the studio…a little of this…and a little of that.   I have, however, decided to design my own wedding invitations.  I’m not sure how smart this idea is.  I’m plenty capable of designing invites…but my indecisive nature may just work against me here.   When to stop my inner control freak?

Anyhoo…wishing you all a lovely first weekend in Spring!  xo

a quick note…

Christmas is upon us people!  The commissions are rolling in…(I’m not complaining)…and time, well, there’s just not enough of it.  Sadly, some of the works in progress won’t be able to make their blog debut until after the Holidays….(wouldn’t want to spoil any surprises…)…but I assure you, they will be well worth the wait.  While you’re waiting oh so patiently…here’s sneak peak at the beginnings of my next mural…

a retreat of sorts…

So in my constant quest for the thing called “balance,” I’m off to the river for some R&R…(I say that, but she’ll probably put me to work…my granny that is…but it is her birthday, so if she puts me to work, I can’t really say “no”) Either way, my cell phone doesn’t work there, and that’s a good thing…Vayda can run free and get all the rotten dog energy out of her…also, not a bad thing. And there’s just something about being out in the country…the sounds, the smells, the stars at night…a rhythm that might…just might…lend itself to some balance.

Anywho, if you’ve come to this blog to see some form of art and design…I’ll get to the point…the image below is a working logo for someone on “the noble pursuit of words”…still tossing around some ideas, but I like the simple symbolism here…
