The original Foodie Prints will be marked down to $40…(usually $55) and the new Eat Your Greens Series will be marked down from $22 to $15 per!  Of course I’ll have a few other goodies in store for those of you who stop by…so what are you waiting for?!?!?!  Come see us from 9am to 2pm in the old Sears parking lot @ Bull and Henry Streets.

spreading the word…

October 2, 2008

Thanks to all the folks that have spread the word about the Savannah Market Bazaar! I’m so excited to meet all of you, and I think it is going to be lots of fun!  SavannahBest, we really appreciate your write-up…oh and mucho thanks for plugging my Foodie Prints on your Dining Blog!

In other news, you may be seeing an awful lot of pink lately…and that’s because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  If you’d like to give to a good cause (and take home some lovely art), be sure to take a trip down to Tybee and visit my friends at Gallery by the Sea and Seaside Sisters. All month long they will be having a “Save the Ta Ta’s” silent art auction in the galleries.  Some of Savannah’s finest artists have turned out for this event…and guess what?…I’ve donated two of my original works to be auctioned off!  That’s right, I said it…original works!  Those of you who know me, know it’s very very rare that I part with an original…(they’re kind of like my babies)…so put your flip-flops on and spend a day at Tybee.  Here’s a peek at one of them…

customer appreciation

September 19, 2008

As many of you know, Dingo, the Durango, and I needed to part ways.  It’s appetite for gasoline was a bit more than I wanted to pay, and the mileage was getting a bit out of hand.  So the great car search began.  I needed something I could haul all my paint supplies in, including a ladder from time to time…and something that would have space for a tent and tables should I participate in the occassional art show.   (oh yeah, and something that could take a little abuse…it is my car afterall…)  I spent hours, if not days perusing websites and scouting out the best deals around.

When it came to actually walking on the lot…one place stood out…Kia Country of Savannah. I walked onto their lot after first visiting their neighbors…the salesman over there didn’t give me the time of day…first, he laughed at the thought of trading my Durango…but worse…when I told him I was an artist, he seriously asked me “so you paint faces in the park?”…ummm…sure buddy, that’s how I plan to pay for these new wheels…Thankfully, my friends at Kia  (specifically Brian, Bob and Peter)…really treated me great.  They were more than pleasant to deal with, patient….(math isn’t my best subject)…and left me feeling like I not only gained a great car, but that they really truly appreciated my business.  (guys, if you’re reading this, thanks again, and know that I’ll throw a friendly discount your way should you want to replace the Colossal Grams with mural work…lol!)

Oh yeah, and to make my day just a little sweeter…I recieved my own customer apprecation, in the form of this photo…

Check out those Foodie Prints…(in custom sizes I might add)…Thanks for sending this photo Carly!  It’s great to see they found a happy  home!

P.S. if any of you loyal blog readers decide to go over to Kia…tell em’ I sent you!  (i could use that referral fee to put towards that new car payment…lol!)

Happy Friday!

oyster fiesta!

August 28, 2008

My little Passion Oysters enjoyed some love in the following Etsy Treasury…despite the fact that August does not have an “r” in it.

Click here to explore the items in this treasury a bit more.  Thanks Jessica, for including my Passion Oysters….ps… if you’re a fan of contemporary art, check out Jessica’s Etsy Store!

where to begin?

August 27, 2008

So many exciting things happening in the studio right now, I don’t even know where to begin!  I just finished a pen & ink drawing for a lovely couple that will be taking some of their new notes all the way to Switzerland this month .

Finally managed to order a few samples of the new “Green Series” from my printer…(It will be like Christmas when they arrive!)…Sold four Foodie Prints to a lovely lady that requested them a little larger…that’s right folks!  Now I can offer a 10×12 (but for the moment, they will have to be special ordered, whereas I have 8×10’s in stock…just email me if you’re interested.)  Found a smidgen of time to draw up a new business card for Bekah, and photographed another house for inking.  Oh yeah, and I received a call from one of my most favorite clients…but I’m keeping that project under wraps for now.  I’m sure I missed a thing or two…but you get the idea…So if I seem a bit scattered for the next few days, know that it’s not the wedding taking over my life, it’s all about business.

Happy Wednesday!
