…a sneak peek at my drafting table…I soooo love painting furry babies!

He may be the last to post, but he was the first of four French Bulldog commissions to come my way this year.  Just look at those ears!  I absolutely adore him!

Mystery Pet Portrait

November 20, 2009

Tis the season for custom Pet Portraits and Pen & Inks! I love the hustle and bustle this time of year, the steady stream of work in the studio, the variety of subject matter, reuniting with old clients, and meeting new ones…it’s an exciting time…the only downside, is having to keep everything top-secret until after Christmas…so here’s a sneak peek of a mystery pup in progress…don’t you just love that patterned paper?   …and those giant ears!

P.S. I still have time for more Christmas commissions!  Email heather@FLYoungStudio.com for a quote and time estimate.

Meet Dolce

One of the few Christmas puppy portraits I can show you in advance.  I just love love love this pup!  She is like an over-grown Vayda.  I met Dolce’s parents at the Gordonston Art Fair, and they’ve been wonderful supporters of my work ever since.  If you’re reading, many thanks, and it’s been great getting to know you and your fanciful four-pawed friends 🙂
