Ceci, if you’re reading this, I’d love to reconnect…oh and do share your method, as I’ve completely forgotten how this print was processed.  It’s been applied to a heavy-weight print-making paper, and as I recall, the variations (like “antler” neck) were all happy accidents.

It’s funny how when you get to thinking about something, things just seem to “appear” that relate.  I’m in the very early stages of planning an “under the sea” themed mural…when out of nowhere, this little gem surfaced in my studio.  A block print carved for my Dad’s birthday card some years back…

Note to self…carve blocks more often…good stress relief…

today i give to you…

THE official Vayda-Valentine! I got some crafty time in with Bekah on Sunday, and decided to do some good old fashioned print-making. It was quite therapeutic to carve my little block…and while I could have laced them with all sorts of “extra” Valentine’s Day adornments…I liked the “ruff” quality and uniqueness of each hand-pulled print. Hope you all have tons of love this Valentine’s Day!  Hugs from me and my rotten dog.
