Blogiversary Give-a-Way!

July 13, 2010

Three years already!  To celebrate I’m offering a $25 gift certificate to any one of my shops.  Nifty, eh?  All you have to do is leave a comment on this post.  Tell me why you like art, this blog, Savannah, a little of this or a little of that…and the winner will be chosen at random upon my return.  (That’s right, I’m taking a little vacation from blogging…but don’t fret, I’ll be back at the end of July)  If you wanna be notified immediately upon my return, subscribe your email address via the column on the right.  Happy Summer!

Good things, yes?

Well, I hope you all have a lovely weekend!  We’re off to Hilton Head for some time with Nick’s mom…it will be a welcomed break from all the promo-madness…

Etsy is such a wonderful medium for meeting new artists!  I received a “convo” from etsy seller, PaperMichelle, that she had included me in her fabulous guacamole treasury…(clever idea, I know)…

Anyhoo…I thought I’d take a peek at the PaperMichelle shop, and boy did I find some gems, perfect for you little love birds out there.  All of Michelle’s cards are intricately hand-cut…no die cutters around here!

Delightful aren’t they?  I hope you’ll take a moment to visit her shop, PaperMichelle.etsy.com and show her some love.

Have a lovely Tuesday!

I think we’ll all be watching our pennies a little closer this holiday season.  There will be some great deals to be had, and for those of us on a tighter budget, it will mean really looking hard to find that perfect gift.  So this year, I’ve taken The Handmade Pledge. I’d rather my dollars support an independent artist, artisan, or craftsman, than a corporate machine.  The best part about it?…I end up with a truly unique, one-of-a-kind, thoughtful gift, and help an indie artist continue to do what they love.  Of course Etsy.com is a great place to start shopping for all things handmade, and they’ve got some really fun ways to navigate the site.  Check it out!

in the beginning…

October 21, 2008

there were sketches.  Lots of sketches.  Rearranging, dissecting, grouping, collecting, and visualizing of sketches.  It’s indecisiveness in it’s most vicious form, but the foundation of any project lies in a “simple” pencil sketch.

Don’t forget to EAT YOUR GREENS at my super fantastic online sale. (Which ends 10-26)

Oh and I had the pleasure of meeting two great Savannah Etsy Sellers yesterday, and one stellar organizer extraordinaire…(Miriam that’s you)…When you’ve finished shopping the Produce Stand, take a moment to check out Kathryn’s stellar jewelry, and Jeri’s whimisical paper mache.
