Some Newness!

December 1, 2010

While I’m forbidden from posting any current projects, (can’t be ruining any custom Pet Portrait or Pen & Ink Christmas surprises), I thought you might enjoy a peak at some new Etsy shops that have opened just in time for the Holidays!

The first, elizabethssoaps.etsy.com, offers luxurious goat’s milk soap for a steal…the best part?  They’re monogrammed!  A great gift for the person that “has everything” on your list.  Several packaging options are available, and she also welcomes bulk orders (think party favors, wedding welcome bags, bachelorette parties, etc.)

Did I mention that the soap maker also happens to be my Mom?  She’s been making soap for years, in fact, I had her make about 100 bars to go in my own wedding welcome bags, and they were a huge hit! She’s been selling her soaps in little boutiques outside of Atlanta and just opened shop on Etsy…check her out!

SimplySavannah.etsy.com is another new shop worth taking a peek at.  Photographer friend, Mark Rodocker, just opened shop and I bet you can figure out why I’m so drawn to his work…

Trees!!! (but that’s just what got me looking)  Mark’s work seems to highlight odd perspectives and quirky details.  He offers a fresh glance at Savannah and the Deep South and I’m anxious to see what direction his work will take in the New Year.  He’s been added to the blog roll on the right if you want to check in on his work from time to time, and his prints are quite reasonable if you’ve got a photography lover on your list this year.

Before I head back to the swampland that has become my studio, a quick thanks to all of you who scooped up prints this past weekend!  The holiday rush is such a fun time of year to be an artist, and it’s a good reminder of how lucky I am to do what I do for a living…hugs~
