If you peeked at my maternity photos, you may have noticed my new Live Oak inspired jewelry by Savannah artist, Chris Carpentino.  Originally from Alaska, Chris came to Savannah and found great inspiration in our beautiful oaks.  His work takes real acorns and branches of Live Oaks and casts them into beautiful pieces of wearable art.  After discovering my work at Savannah Blueprint (my favorite printers in Savannah!)  he contacted me about drawing a Live Oak for him.  After seeing some samples of his work, I knew I HAD TO HAVE some for my own jewelry collection, so we started a little collaboration.

Live Oak Tree Skeleton

I worked up a tree skeleton for him referenced by a tree found in Historic Forsyth Park.

Live Oak Tree inspired bracelets by Savannah artist Chris Carpentino

Chris took real Savannah Live Oak branches and cast me this gorgeous set of cuffs (my photo does them no justice).  These are one of a kind prototypes, but he’ll be launching some similar works in his shop shortly!    He paired the cuffs with an equally unique pair of his copper acorn earrings.  *swoon*
