Gold Foil Invitations – Yes, Please!
June 10, 2014
Foil printing is making a HUGE come back. I mean, who doesn’t love a little flash of fancy when they open a wedding invitation? Foil printing also adds a lovely touch to menus (ahhh imagine that little glimmer in low lighting!) and as this bride requested, custom Thank You notes for her guests.
Please disregard my lack of photography skills…I’m no Diana Daley.
I currently don’t have these listed for sale in The Ink Lab…but I’m happy to provide you with a custom quote! Just plan in advance, since I don’t print them in-house.
Not only are my new Welcome Bags more budget friendly than the hand-stamped bags, they are also customizable!…..Even better, you can now buy the labels by the sheet, so if you want to put them on favor boxes, smaller or larger bags, etc. you can! The possibilities are endless. I offer a choice of two designs: the Forsyth Park Fountain, perfect for your Savannah Destination Wedding and The Candler Oak, a great choice for a tree themed event.
Buy them with the brown kraft paper bag for $2.25 per bag OR purchase a sheet of 4 labels for $3.20 per sheet…
Reduced rates for bulk orders!
Find out more about them in the theinklab.
Live Oak Jewelry Artist – Chris Carpentino
July 18, 2013
If you peeked at my maternity photos, you may have noticed my new Live Oak inspired jewelry by Savannah artist, Chris Carpentino. Originally from Alaska, Chris came to Savannah and found great inspiration in our beautiful oaks. His work takes real acorns and branches of Live Oaks and casts them into beautiful pieces of wearable art. After discovering my work at Savannah Blueprint (my favorite printers in Savannah!) he contacted me about drawing a Live Oak for him. After seeing some samples of his work, I knew I HAD TO HAVE some for my own jewelry collection, so we started a little collaboration.
I worked up a tree skeleton for him referenced by a tree found in Historic Forsyth Park.
Chris took real Savannah Live Oak branches and cast me this gorgeous set of cuffs (my photo does them no justice). These are one of a kind prototypes, but he’ll be launching some similar works in his shop shortly! He paired the cuffs with an equally unique pair of his copper acorn earrings. *swoon*
I can’t wait to see what he cooks up next! Be sure to check out his work at www.thecopperacorn.com

January 31, 2013
Lover’s Oak is located in historic Brunswick, GA, and is thought to be over 900 years old! Legend has it that Native American lovers would meet under its magnificent branches to kiss. The trunk alone measures 13 feet in diameter. So beautiful!
Prints are available in theinklab in Natural, Moss and Icy Blue. If you’d like one in time for Valentine’s Day, be sure to order quickly!

I am so excited to now offer brown kraft paper envelopes for you rustic, nature lovin’ brides! Being that I’m the daughter of a “paper man,” I’ve always appreciated the simplicity of brown kraft paper. We used it to wrap Christmas presents and school books in it as kids, and we didn’t dare come home from the grocery store with plastic bags at our house. (Cardinal sin to a paper bag salesman, and to the environment!)
Brown bag kraft envelopes are available for the newly listed Magnolia Tree Wedding Invitations & the classic Live Oak Tree Invitations
Of course, I also offer White and Ecru Colored envelopes and the ink colors / wording are completely customizable, so if you’re looking for a more modern feel vs. the rustic woodsy trend, just ask and I’ll gladly dress them up for you!
I’m just getting started with “krafty” goodness, so be sure to check back!
I can’t tell you how much I love Emmaline Bride. They are overflowing with inspiration for the DIY and handmade bride and they have a knack for uncovering hidden gems on Etsy. 12×16 inch Thumbprint Tree Guestbooks are here! They are the perfect size for small weddings, baby showers, birthdays and family reunions. The best part about these little trees?
